Hello friends!
I'm not sure if anyone else occasionally looks back at this blog, but I miss you all and thought I would post something for old time's sake. Maybe I'll get some responses? :)
I can't believe how fast time flies, and that we are graduating in a few short months. Three years is a long time, yet it also feels like no time at all; so much has changed yet at the same time, a lot is still the same? I'm not sure if I'm actually making any sense, but the complexity of feelings is hard to articulate...
I've been thinking a lot about growing pains, about how this transition into adulthood (at least for me) is so much harder than my teenage years, and how overwhelming it feels. All my life I've been following a path that was pretty much set for me, and now I find myself approaching a crossroads that branches in endless directions...It's even scarier knowing that once I choose to take one of these roads, I really won't know what it would have been like to take any of the other roads? I've never been so uncertain in my life, and I think more than anything the fear of failure is preventing me from even starting in any particular direction - you know what I mean?
Everyone around me seems to be moving on to bigger and better things (I'm really proud of you grad school gals :P), but I kind of feel stuck, even if I know that the only way to "the other side" is through it. Well, something will happen over the next few months, and hopefully that something is getting a job and graduating!
In the meantime, here's to a great senior spring - I'm sure you will all kill it! Hope to see your beautiful faces soon :)
Cheers,
Juliet
